Multi-Chamber Disposables: Two or Three Flavors in One Device

A few years ago a disposable meant one flavor until it ran out. Now a growing share of the category holds two or three at once, in separate tanks, with a switch to move between them.

We carry five of them. Here’s how they actually work, what separates them, and what to look at before picking one.

What a multi-chamber device is

Instead of one reservoir feeding one coil, the device is divided into two or three isolated tanks, each holding a different strain or flavor. A selector — usually a button, sometimes a physical switch — determines which one you’re drawing from.

The chambers don’t mix. That’s the point: you get distinct flavors rather than a blend, and the one you aren’t using sits untouched.

Why they exist

Capacity per chamber in single, dual and triple tank disposables

Buying a 3-gram disposable means committing to one profile for the life of the device. That’s a lot of one thing.

Splitting the same capacity across two or three chambers solves that without asking you to carry multiple pens. Same size in your pocket, same price in most cases, more than one option inside.

The trade-off is straightforward: less of each. A 2-gram triple tank gives you roughly 0.66g per flavor. If you know exactly what you want and want a lot of it, a single-tank device makes more sense.

Two chambers or three

Two chambers splits the capacity in half. Usually paired deliberately — a sativa with an indica, or two profiles meant to work together. You get a meaningful amount of each.

Three chambers maximizes variety at the same overall size. Most triple devices load one of each category, so a single purchase covers sativa, indica and hybrid.

Three is the newer format and it’s where the category is heading, but two is the better pick if you’d rather not spread a device that thin.

What to check before buying

Total capacity, not per-chamber. A 2G triple tank and a 3.5G dual chamber both sound like “multi-flavor,” but the second gives you nearly twice as much of each.

How the pairings are set. Most brands sell fixed combinations rather than letting you build your own, so what matters is whether any of the available sets actually appeal to you.

Whether it’s rechargeable. Any device above 1 gram should be. A multi-chamber device you can’t recharge will die with product left in two of three tanks.

What the hardware tells you. Some of these carry a display showing battery and remaining oil, which matters more on a multi-chamber device — you’re tracking more than one thing at once.

The five we carry

Boutiq Switch V5 — three tanks at 2G, built on liquid live diamonds. Each set pairs a sativa, an indica and a hybrid. The package carries a scratch-to-scan verification code.

Ice Kream TRIO — three flavors at 3.5G, the largest multi-chamber device we stock. A selector button cycles between them, and the hardware includes an LED panel, a hit counter and an oil window. Built on melted diamonds with live resin.

Muha Meds V2 — two chambers at 2000mg, with ten strain pairings available. That’s the widest selection of combinations in the group.

Big Chief Duo — two flavors at 2000mg on liquid diamonds, seven pairings. Same capacity and price as the Muha Meds V2, fewer sets to choose from.

Loud THCA Rosin — two chambers at 3.5G, and the only one in the group built on rosin rather than distillate or diamonds. More capacity per chamber than anything else here.

All five are in Disposables.

Which one fits what

Most variety: Boutiq’s Switch V5 or the Ice Kream TRIO, both at three.

Most product per flavor: the Loud at 3.5G across two chambers.

Most combinations to pick from: Muha Meds V2, with ten pairings.

Best hardware: the Ice Kream TRIO — the oil window and hit counter tell you where you stand instead of leaving you guessing.

Solventless: the Loud is the only one. Liquid diamonds and live resin come from solvent-based extraction; rosin is pressed with heat and pressure alone.

One thing worth knowing

More chambers means more moving parts. If one side stops producing vapor while the other still works, that’s usually a clog in that chamber’s airway rather than a dead device — the fix is the same as any disposable, and we cover it in our guide to why a disposable isn’t hitting.

Every device we carry ships with a third-party lab report tied to its batch, on our COA page.

Frequently asked questions

What is a multi-chamber disposable?

A device with two or three isolated tanks, each holding a different strain or flavor, and a selector to switch between them. The chambers don’t mix.

Do you get less product with multiple chambers?

Per flavor, yes. Total capacity is the same as a comparable single-tank device — it’s just divided. A 2G triple tank gives you roughly 0.66g per flavor.

Can you mix the flavors?

The chambers are isolated, so you’re drawing from one at a time. Some devices let you pull from more than one; most don’t.

Can I choose which flavors go in the device?

No. Brands sell fixed combinations, so the question is whether any of the available sets appeal to you.

What happens if one chamber stops working?

Usually a clog in that chamber’s airway rather than a failed device. Clear the intake, cover one hole and take a slow pull.

Which multi-chamber device holds the most?

The Ice Kream TRIO at 3.5G across three flavors, and the Loud at 3.5G across two — the Loud gives you more per chamber.
